The Conservancy paid to install WiFi and continues annually to support this service at the park’s Visitor Center. This service is exclusively for visitors to use for park-related activity while in the park.
Having free WiFi allows visitors to purchase their digital passes online through their mobile phones. Rangers can now spend more time with visitors answering questions rather than managing the cash register and entrance fees.
Visitors can also look up and download information and brochures on their phones as opposed to the parks printing thousands of sheets of paper that then get discarded.
