The Chaco Culture Conservancy is pleased to announce the arrival of virtual tours of Aztec Ruins National Monument to enjoy from the comfort of your chair or to take along on your visit to the park!
In cooperation with the National Park Service, there are now three tours available to enjoy and learn more about the park.
The first is a Museum Tour that will take you down the Timeline Hallway and allow you to navigate through the various exhibits. Moving your mouse, you can “walk” through the museum and click on highlighted panels to view closer and learn more.
Next is an Audio Tour which takes you around the grounds and into the dwellings while explaining what you are seeing and what life was like for the early people.
The last tour is Text Only and covers the same material as the audio tour but has clickable areas with text descriptions.
Please note that the tours work best on desktops and larger screens. They can be quite buggy on phones. We are trying to find some way to make it work; please be patient and know that we are aware of its shortcomings!
